Lectio Divina
He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.
Matthew 28:6
Practice resurrection.
Wendell Berry
Prayer
Risen Christ,
you stepped out of the tomb
with heart and body set toward Galilee
You met them on roads,
in gardens, behind locked doors,
around dinner tables.
Slowly. Gently.
One at a time.
You did not fix institutions;
you restored souls.
You showed your wounds,
born of Temple and Empire—
a quiet rebellion
against all that refuses love.
Lead me gently from tomb
to road, to table,
to quiet resurrection places,
where wounds of my own
become a story of resurrection.
Amen
Blessing
May you leave behind
what no longer breathes—
and follow Christ
into quiet rebellion:
alive, attentive,
and unafraid.
In the Name of the One
Who Makes All Things New
Amen
