Prayer is the work of learning to name the Goodness and Nearness of God in the context of actual life.

Enoch walked with God.
Jesus did only what he saw the Father doing.
David was a man after God’s own heart.

Prayer is not a compartmentalized religious moment in the day. Although we may have moments of engaging in specific prayer practices, the aim of Christian Spirituality and Discipleship is integration — living a life of prayer, as opposed to having a “prayer life.”
